CCYC Moorings on the Gare Loch
The Clyde Corinthian Yacht Club acts as a Mooring-Association (hereafter known as, the Association), on behalf of the Crown Estate Scotland (CES) and administers a mooring area (approximately one third of a square mile) between Shandon (56°02.447'N-004°48.303W) and Blairvadach (56°01.679N-004°47.662W) stretching to approx. 150m offshore, on the eastern shore of Gare Loch.
Moorings; are to be laid, maintained and insured at owners' expense. We currently have plenty of space for additional moorings.
MOORING DUES
The Association shall set an annual payment for each mooring by its owner to cover the amount payable to the Crown Estate and including a levy to be utilised in accordance with the objectives of the Association. Any mooring owner who fails to pay their mooring dues by the due date shall be deemed to have resigned from the Association and their licence revoked. Their mooring's gear may, thereafter, be lifted and deposited on the shore.
For the forthcoming 2025-26 period, the annual charge for mooring fees is set at £65; this includes the CCYC's administration cost of £10 per mooring and this falls due on 1st April 2025. Notifications will be issued in due course.
MOORING RULES
Rules for the licensing, allocation and use of moorings within the moorings area are produced by the Committee (for adoption by the 2025 Annual General Meeting). The Committee shall have the power to take whatever steps may be necessary in order that the rules may be enforced.
