Round Shuna Race Weekend 2022 Results

Despite a very unpromising forecast, we were delighted to welcome a diverse fleet of yachts, dinghies, Flying Fifteens and Challengers back to the Round Shuna Weekend.
Strong winds, but smooth seas made for brisk sailing during the feeder races, with the Oban fleet opting to race down the Sound of Luing, rather than risk beating through the Cuan Sound in strong winds.
Torrential rain on the Sunday morning did not deter the fleet from launching, a decision that was rewarded as blue skies blew in from the Corryvreckan and the sun finally emerged, transforming the day from dreich to diamond as the Challenger “White Knight” maintained her lead in the pursuit race to claim First Boat Home, quickly followed by the laser Black Pearl and the rest of the fleet.
A fantastic weekend of Corinthian sailing, underlining that sailing truly is a sport for anyone and everyone.
